They billed themselves as 2 Rugby girls, 3 mountains and 24 hours. Shona and Lottie set off on an amazing challenge to raise money to support the Recovery Games and The British Red Cross, Yorkshire division supporting destitute asylum seekers and refugees.
Starting with Ben Nevis our hero’s moved swiftly onto Scarfell Pike which under a clear night sky lit by the moon, stars and head torches, was conquered in a time of 3 hours 11 minutes.
The goal was in sight but the final challenge was the giant Welsh mountain Snowdon. In an unbelievable time of 3 hours 52 minutes our dynamic duo reached their goal.
The amazing team completed the whole challenge in a staggering 20 hours raising a fantastic £1,752.32.
However, Shona and Lottie were not on their own and were cheered on and looked after all the way by their brilliant support team. Take a bow ladies you deserve it.
Without the support of amazing people like this we couldn’t do what we do. So from us to you THANK YOU
