Ashleigh supports ADS in Hull 10K Run for All

Ashleigh is running in the Hull 10k Run for All, taking place on 2nd June 2019. to support us help more people with drug and alcohol problems.

The route goes through Hull City Centre, up to the Deep, around the Marina and then back into the city centre. Ashleigh ran the same race 2 years ago in a time of 1 hour 7 minutes and has set herself a target to beat that this year, aiming for 1 hour 5 minutes.

Ashleigh said “This is a personal challenge for me as I only started running a couple of years ago. In preparation for the race, I have been running up very steep hills (ouch!) and putting in a lot of work at the gym, so hopefully I can reach my target time this year. It’s also great training for the marathon which I am completing in September as part of a four person relay.”

When we asked her why she said “I want to raise money for the Alcohol & Drug Service as they offer fantastic support for people with drug and alcohol problems”
