ADS achieves Investors in People Silver Award

The Alcohol and Drug Service (ADS) has been accredited since 2010 and at the last assessment in 2013 achieved Bronze. ADS Investors in People award was reviewed this year. The assessment took place between May and July 2016.

The review assessment included interviews with employees, and on line survey, observation of meetings and scrutiny of data, policies and plans.

The Investors in People Standard is made up of 9 indicators, each sitting under 1 of three Criteria: Leading Supporting and Improving. Organisations are assessed on how closely they meet these criteria through a performance model of progression. There are four stages of progression: 'Developed', 'Established', 'Advanced' and 'High Performing'.

The online assessment data was benchmarked against the social care sector with ADS above the sectors benchmark in 8 out of 9 of the indicators.

Tim Young Chief Executive said “The assessment came at a time of great change for ADS so it was a tremendous achievement to be awarded the silver standard. It shows just what high quality the people who work for ADS are.”
