ERP shortlisted for 2 awards

ADS and Humber staff from East Riding Partnership have been shortlisted for 2 Humber awards. ‘Best Partnership Working’ and ‘Innovation’ for our new Image and Performance Enhancing Drugs service ‘the Juice bar’.

The East Riding Partnership (ERP) is a formal partnership between Humber NHS Foundation Trust and the Alcohol and Drug Service (ADS) delivering drug and alcohol services to the population of the East Riding of Yorkshire.  This year marks the celebration of 10 years of this successful and innovative partnership. 

The nomination for the ‘Best Partnership’ award is for the performance of the service over the 10 years since its creation.

The 2014 Care Quality Commission inspection praised the service for the high standards of person centred care delivered and highlighted the positive staff morale, excellent team working and that service users and carers were very positive about the service, staff and treatment received for both drugs and alcohol.

The East Riding Partnership is a top performing area for both drugs and alcohol demonstrated by the National Data Treatment Monitoring Systems (NDTMS) reports over the duration of the partnership.

A reaction to the increase in steroid users attending needle exchanges the service consulted with service users were consulted to determine the name and the type of things the new service would offer. Since then over 70 gym staff and fitness instructors have been trained across the East Riding, specialist sessions have opened and a dedicated web page have been developed.

Vikki Coy service manager said, “I have been the Service Manager for East Riding Partnership Addiction Services for the past two years and have been continually impressed by the energy, commitment, passion and innovation demonstrated by staff at all levels.”

I believe that the integrated staff team has enabled the service to be innovative in its response to changing service user needs.”
