Aspire Drug and Alcohol Service’s Recovery Games will be back and bigger than ever on 18 August 2017 and registration is now open!
Held at the Hatfield Activity Centre, Hatfield Marina, Doncaster the Recovery Games are a fantastic way to celebrate Recovery!
Teams should be made up of at least 8 people (no maximum) from services and communities within the substance misuse or related fields across the United Kingdom and can be made up of service users, their families and employees.
The event includes fun, team based games done a similar format to “it’s a knock out” and include both dry land and water based activities. Archery, inflatable assault courses, canoeing and lots more, there are activities to suit all abilities and age groups.
The Games celebrate recovery does happen, make connections within and between recovery communities across the region and reduce the stigma faced by substance users and their families. All this while making connections with the local and wider community.
