Each year at our staff conference we celebrate the people and organisations who support what we do and make such a difference to people who use our services. We have a Supporter of the Year and a Donor of the Year and we’d like to extend our many thanks to this years winners.
Valued Supporter of the Year 2019
Since 2017 Morrisons have supported the Breakfast Club in our service the East Riding Partnership. Without their support we couldn’t have offered the club. The breakfast club provides people with the opportunity to take part in extra activities and offers a relaxed place to meet and talk with peer mentors who are in recovery themselves. We find the club is an invaluable resource which encourages engagement with our service and increases peoples chances of achieving long term recovery. The breakfast club also gives people the opportunity to come together socially and build friendships and find support.
We were pleased to present the award to Dianne, Community Champion at Morrisons at our recent staff conference. Thank you Morrisons!
Donor of the Year 2019
Throughout the year we receive donations from a variety of sources and each year we present an award for the valued donor of the year. This year we selected The Normanby Charitable Trust. This charity has supported ADS with donations since 2016 totalling £6,000. Unfortunately they were unable to collect the award in person at our staff conference however they expressed their delight and thanks for the award.
