Trainee Recovery Worker - Criminal Justice

Salary: During the Traineeship the salary range will be £18124-£20829. Following successful completion, the salary range will be £20100-£24294.

Job Description:

Working as part of a wider mental health team, the post will engage people with substance use problems in both inpatient and the Accident and Emergency settings.  Providing advice, brief interventions, assessment and where appropriate supporting engagement with specialist treatment service, the role will support positive change in people and reduce their future hospital attendance.

The successful candidate will hold a degree in a related subject or a Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) and a Level 3 in Drug & Alcohol and have knowledge of substances and their effects. Experience of undertaking assessments of need and risk and providing harm reduction advice and brief interventions are essential.

The service is available 7 days a week between 8am and 8pm, therefore you must be prepared to work on a rota basis. Consideration to part time working is available.
