The Alcohol and Drug Service is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Board of Trustees.

We are looking for passionate, committed people to help guide our organisation's mission of supporting those affected by substance misuse to make positive change.

This is an exciting time to join the recovery sector with the new government committing to continue support and funding for the current national drug (and alcohol) strategy roll-out.

As a Trustee, you will:

• Provide strategic direction and oversight
• Ensure sound financial management
• Contribute your unique skills and experience
• Help shape our services and impact

We particularly welcome applications from individuals with senior experience in:

• Legal expertise. We are seeking a Board secretary probably with a corporate background to steer the Board on matters of the articles of association, statutory duties and responsibilities/compliance.
• The health and social care sector
• The charity sector

Time commitment:

Approximately 1 day per month, including five board meetings per year.

The posts are Non Executive Directors, expenses are paid but no salary or other payment is offered.

No prior trustee experience is necessary - we provide full induction and training.
