Welcome Kevin
We are pleased to announce that Kevin Yorath who became a Trustee in 2016 has been appointed as the new Chair of our Board.
He takes the role at an exciting time as a new national drug (and alcohol) strategy is being rolled out. This represents a once in a generation opportunity to enhance services and set the agenda for the coming decade. This will be a challenge requiring high quality strategic leadership for both the Board and the Executive team which, with his experience and expertise we feel Kevin, will bring to ADS.
Kevin has over 38 years experience in the UK electricity supply industry including Killingholme Plant Manager, Group Manager to Global HSE Manager for E.ON.
A Chartered Engineer, he is a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and a licensed NLP Practitioner.
As a registered STEM Ambassador, spending time in local schools helping children understand the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and; a member of the Wrawby Post Mill Preservation Society which helps preserve our industrial heritage, Kevin has a proven track record in supporting communities.
While some of you have met Kevin at the staff conference and other events, we look forward to introducing you in person over the coming months.
Thank you and Goodbye Jon
Our thanks goes to the outgoing Chair, Jon Boddy who stepped down from his position at the AGM in October.
Jon became a Trustee in 2004 and has served as the Chair since January 2017.
Throughout his tenure, Jon has been a valued member of the team and a steadfast and positive presence on our Board of Trustees. We are very grateful for all he has done during his tenure and we would not be in the healthy position we are without his time, input, knowledge and support.
We are sad to see Jon go, but we know that he will continue to be a strong advocate for the charity’s success and we wish him the best of luck in all his future endeavours.
