Total Warrior

Lynne Andrews from Aspire, will be taking part in Total Warrior on Sunday 24th June at Bramham Park near Wetherby in support of the annual Recovery Games.

Total Warrior is a 12k mud and obstacle run.  It is the pinnacle of obstacle racing with 25 to 30 punishing obstacles including fire, ice, mud and electric shocks, Lynne will get the ultimate test of strength, stamina, mental determination and teamwork.

When we asked her why she was putting herself through this punishing event Lynne said “I have decided to take part and raise money for the Recovery Games because while working at New Beginnings (a part of Aspire) for the past two years I’ve seen how it brings a feeling of togetherness and belonging to people in treatment and recovery from addiction. Having attended the Games myself I know what a fun day it can be.

The recovery games have become a talking point among both clients and staff alike, and all who attend feel united. We do and can recover”.

Held at the end of August at Hatfield outdoor activity water sports centre, the Games mark the beginning of national recovery month in September. Teams from as far away as Glasgow complete together in fun, gladiator style activities with a spectacular ‘colour run’ finale.

The Recovery Games are completely funded from sponsorship and fundraising activities. If you would like to support Lynne in her Total warrior challenge please click here
